Kikoh Matsuura
Kikoh Matsuura is exploring new aspects of the world by expressing the realms that exist beyond human perception, those imperceptible through our senses, through both art and science in a way that is at once scientific and sensory.
Centered on the Withered Plant series, in which withered plants are photographed using a scanning electron microscope to reveal the quiet coexistence of life and death within the cycle of life, he incorporates scientific technology as poetic material, developing a contemplative and phenomenological mode of expression. In seeking points of contact with a constantly changing world, the work quietly pursues the presence of phenomena beyond perception.
He has collaborated with institutions in the fields of science, medicine, and technology, such as creating a commemorative work for Chugai Pharmaceutical’s 100th anniversary, exhibiting brain activity visualizations in collaboration with Shimadzu Corporation at the Kyocera Museum of Art, and producing a sound piece that converts atomic energy into sound in partnership with the Institute for Molecular Science.
His work has also been featured in numerous exhibitions at art festivals and museums both in Japan and abroad, earning many awards.

池原 悠太 Ikehara Yuta
Ikehara Yuta creates works centered on the theme of reincarnation. His art depicts a world where elements of the natural environment—such as animals and plants—merge with noise and man-made artifacts that symbolize human society. Through the collage of watercolors, photographs, and textures, he expresses the idea that everything flows together in a vast, interconnected tide.
He sees all things as being in a constant cycle of decline and regeneration, and finds meaning within that process. In today’s society, where intrinsic value is often difficult to discern, he creates his works by reflecting on what is truly essential and what actions he must take.
