MESSAGE

Vortex is a cosmic form that appears throughout nature. It can be found in galaxies, typhoons, and conch shells. Humans have long admired the golden ratio, a symbol of beauty often seen in the spiraling proportions created by it.

In this artwork, sound emerges from the swirling motion of a water vortex inside a glass vessel. You listen to it through a glass tube. The sound is so delicate that it doesn’t just reach your ears; it makes you aware of the sounds within your own body. Your heart continues to beat. The tiny hairs in your inner ear emit high-pitched tones.

As you tune in to this faint sound, you begin to feel a deeper connection with nature. The ever-changing tone seems to mark the boundary between two worlds: life and death, or the physical and the unseen.
