MESSAGE

In modern society, despite facing numerous challenges such as climate change and international conflicts, we are surrounded by an overwhelming amount of information, making it difficult to distinguish what is true.
Moreover, society is progressing at an extraordinary pace, driven by human desire to turn everything into reality through science. As a result, the boundaries between “real” and “unreal,” or between “human” and “animal” are becoming increasingly blurred.
With these thoughts in mind, I create ceramic works featuring hollow forms that embody a duality: the sense of “permanence” seen in Jomon pottery, and the “fragility” that causes them to collapse easily upon impact.
