MESSAGE

I create my works based on the certainty and uncertainty within consciousness, the presence and absence before my eyes, the shifting light and shadow, the coming and going of time and space, and the neutrality of glass as a material, as well as its duality as a physical substance.

PROFILE

Inoue Tsuyoshi [Japan]

Glass craftsman and modeling artist. Born in Omihachiman, Japan, in 1970.

His family has been manufacturing glass bottles since the Meiji era (1868-1912). After studying the world of crafts, he decided to pursue a career in glass art. As the representative of glass studio Garasu Kikakusha, he tries to experiment and vary his approach of glass as a base material.
