Yamada Masayoshi [Japan]

Born on December 19, 1949, in Gifu, Japan. In 1968, he entered Musashino Art University. In 1972, he began working in sculpture research department of the same university, and in 1973, he was awarded the university's "Paris Prize," which allowed him to travel to France and take up residence in an atelier at the Cité international des Arts in Paris. From 1973 to 1977, he studied under César at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 1979, he moved his atelier to Avenue de Clichy, where he continues to work. In 2015, he served as a visiting professor at Musashino Art University. His artistic practice is primarily based in Paris.
