As part of the pre-events leading up to the main edition in 2027, we are holding the Lake Biwa Reed-Dyed Linen Scarf Workshop. Experience the art of botanical dyeing by using reeds from Lake Biwa as a natural dye to create your own linen scarf. The workshop will be led by Yoko Kitagawa, Director of Fabrica Village.

• On foot: a 15-minute walk from the East Exit of JR Notogawa Station
• By bus: from JR Notogawa Station, take an Omi Bus bound for Yokaichi or Echigawa, get off at Sano bus stop, then walk for approximately 2 minutes
* For those who wish, Yoshi Udon (reed-infused udon noodles) will be served from 12:00 to 13:00 (¥1,000, advance reservation required).
* The “10th ANNIVERSARY of BIWAKO BIENNALE” commemorative catalogue, accompanied by an original postcard, is available at a special price (regular price ¥1,300 → special offer ¥800).
