Koide uses mainly FRP, ceramic, and wood to create works involving creatures and elements from the underworld, such as cloud ghosts and skulls, but also his family and himself. His adorable, yet somehow eerie and mysterious three-dimensional works are autobiographical, poetic, and possess a charm that stimulates the viewer's memory.
