Watari Shogo [Japan]

Born in 1987 in Kyoto. After developing wood joinery skills at Shinrin Takumi Juku, he moved to Ireland and studied wood bending at Joseph Walsh Studio. He then returned to Japan, and joined woodcraft studio Nakagawa Mokkou where he created oke (traditional wood buckets) under Shuji Nakagawa. Since 2021, he has been working as an idependent wood artist in Kyoto.
